St. Joseph T-Ball

Location

St. Joseph Church & Elementary School in Long Beach, CA

League Philosophy

The goal of our league is to introduce young children to the sport of baseball in a reinforcing and non-competitive manner. All children in St. Joseph T-Ball are winners and the skills accrued during T-Ball will help to form the foundation needed to compete successfully in the future.

Uniforms and Equipment

Team uniforms consist of the team hat and team jersey provided by the league. Any pants, shorts or skirts are allowed. No metal cleats, open toed shoes or bare feet allowed. Tennis shoes or rubber cleats can be worn. Each player will need their own glove. Bats and helmets are provided by the league but players can bring their own if they like.

Snack Shack

The snack shack will be open on Saturdays and Wednesdays. Each team will be asked to run the snack shack on the weeks that the schedule indicates. Proceeds from the snack shack are used for the end of year picnic and to purchase equipment/supplies for the league. Your support of the snack shack is greatly appreciated.

Safety

All children must have at least one parent or guardian with them at all games and practices. DO NOT drop your child off and leave St. Joseph without informing the coach who the guardian of your child will be until you return. This rule will be strictly enforced, as we do not have recorded emergency numbers for any children. Children whose parents do not follow this rule will not be allowed to continue to participate in St. Joseph T-Ball.

Parking

There is no parking allowed in the school courtyard. Ample parking is available in the parking lot. While parking at St. Joseph, be sure not to leave any purses or valuables in plain sight. In years past, cars have been broken into during games.

Restrooms

The school restrooms by the field are available for use. If the restrooms are not open, ask for assistance at the snack shack. Under no circumstances should you enter the church to use the restroom.

Trash

Please throw your trash away in the trash cans near the snack shack when you leave. Keeping the facilities clean makes everyone happy.
